Effect of outlet location on indoor air quality for stratum ventilation under heating mode

Warm air supply is widely used to condition indoor environment in winter. It has been proved that stratum ventilation (SV), as a novel distribution, potentials be applied for heating. The outlet location may affect quality (IAQ) due interaction between thermal plumes from heat sources and room airflows. In this study, the effect of on IAQ SV was investigated 9 cases under heating mode. outlets were located at heights 0.4 m same side wall inlet, 0.4, 1.3 opposite wall, respectively. concentration carbon dioxide measured an experimental chamber with dimensions 5850 mm(L) × 5057 mm(W) 2554 mm(H). average removal efficiency ( ε CRE ) evaluation indexes. results showed breathing zone inlet lower than those wall. At scenario, greater one, showing good performance.
